Intermediate Producing Workshop

COURSE LENGTH

This virtual workshop lasts 2 weeks (3 hours per class with a 30-minute break).

September 15th and 22nd, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

DESCRIPTION

This workshop is for actors, writers, directors, producers, or anyone who wants to gain a working knowledge of how to produce a film and is interested in creating their own content. We will go through the 5 phases of production on a provided script and simulate the process of producing scenes from a film.

This includes casting, location scouting, contracts, script breakdowns, budgeting, scheduling, production, post-production, & more!

BASIC INFORMATION

• Cost: $75 plus $1 processing fee.
• Ages: 14 and up
• Level: Beginner to Intermediate

LEAD INSTRUCTOR: Jodi Cilley

Jodi Cilley is a long-time filmmaker, entrepreneur, and educator. She has been teaching video production since 2004 and has taught video and editing at San Diego City College, UC San Diego Extension Digital Arts Center, Platt College, and the Media Arts Center San Diego. She has produced over a hundred projects including web series, short films, TV specials, documentaries, and commercial projects, and recently produced Film Indiego, a 6-Part TV Series for KPBS.
