The editor’s creative influence on a film cannot be understated. This workshop will give a brief lesson on the history of editing and give context to the editors role in the filmmaking process. This workshop will be a professionally guided, hands-on, project based experience where you will learn how to edit a scene from start to finish. Students will organize provided footage, set up a project in Premiere Pro, and edit a scene from assembly cut through final export. Students will learn basics of titling, color, sound, credits, transitions, exporting and more. We’ll also review the edited scenes, give constructive feedback tips and tricks on how to improve the final edit. It’ll teach students and refresh professional minds with the necessary practical skills and workflow for approaching different projects when using Premiere Pro*.
