The San Diego Film Awards are presented annually by the Film Consortium San Diego to recognize the excellence of student, independent, professional filmmakers, talent, and crew in the San Diego film industry.
Due to the pandemic, the 2020 SDFA were delayed and had a limited production, therefore, the broadcast will be shorter than usual. However, we’ll announce more nominees and winners separately from the televised show this summer!
Since 2014, it is the only local awards show that recognizes cast, crew, and filmmakers for their achievements in the previous calendar year. The Film Awards are the closing event for the annual San Diego Film Week, our own film festival.
Below you’ll see the names of San Diego’s talent and the people who keep working hard every year to make the film industry and its community even better than it already is.
The 2021 San Diego Film Awards will happen later this year to
recognize films submitted for the 2021 competitions.
