Let’s roll out the red carpet! San Diego Film Awards happens in the the spring and is one night only celebration recognizing excellence in local filmmaking. The show is live as well as broadcast on KPBS. This is the event of the year where our entire community gets dressed to the nines and comes together to celebrate, network, and take photos on the red carpet.
The Film Consortium is committed to local filmmakers. The San Diego Film Awards accepts both narrative and documentary films in short and feature formats from San Diego’s student, independent and professional filmmakers.
San Diego Film Awards launched in 2014 with a mission to recognize and reward San Diego’s talented cast, crew and filmmakers.
This is the biggest night of the year for our community where 30+ awards are given out. Attendees enjoy a red carpet experience complete with VIP and General Admission receptions, an entertaining and exciting stage and screen production, live musical entertainment and a post-show reception and afterparty. Those who cannot attend the live event can watch the show the same night on KPBS and digitally across the country on the PBS app.
